Besides the fact that I have trouble finding the time to blog, I also don't have much to report at the moment as it pertains to writing. So, to fill you in on the little that I've accomplished:
*My 1st draft: *sighs* Oh, first draft, how I love thee. Let me count the ways.
1. I have a better feel for my characters personality now that I've reached the middle of the story
2. I actually, somehow, made it to 19k!
3. I'm having a blast researching for this story
4. This story is really stretching me because I'm writing in 3rd person (never done before), writing from a males POV (never done before) and it is a MG (again, never done before). BUT, I think I *may* be pulling it off.
My goal was to finish it by September 1st, but realistically I know that won't happen. So, I've decided on a new deadline and that is December 1st. Who knows if I can reach it, but I'm sure going to try.
*I've critiqued the first 7 chapters for a friend of mine on her new story and it is awesome!
*I'm beginning to start a critique on a full MS for another friend and can't wait to get started.
*I've been reading Code Name Verity for what seems like forever. Hopefully I'll finish it soon. I'm so tired that I can only read one chapter at a time (if that) before my eyes are too heavy that I have to shut them. Ahh- life with a newborn!
How are all of you doing with your writing? Fill me in! As for the rest of my life, here is the break down if you're interested:
*The Boss just turned 6 years old and although at times I feel like he is 16. We have entered into attitudeland and I don't like it one bit. He starts school in 27 days (too bad my district still does halfdays for Kindergarten). Yikes!
*The Gunney will be 4 in October and at times I see a behavior improvement. However, most of the day he is in his own little world and I have to start getting him ready 45 min. before we do anything. For some reason he thinks the perfect time to play with a new toy is when I've asked him to get in the car.
*Scooch will be 2 years old in October and he is into everything! He had his PT session yesterday and they are pleased with his progress (late walker, doesn't really talk much, but understands absolutely everything). He is still little but Dr. was happy that he gained 1 1/2 pounds since April, bringing him to a whooping 22 1/2 pounds. Whoo-hoo! He is a very happy little guy, just don't tell him NO. If you do, you'll suffer the wrath of his Irish temper.
*LP (Little Princess) just turned 11 weeks yesterday. She is smiling and cooing and loves it when someone sings to her. And, I think she's gonna be tough because she never flinches when one of her three brothers comes at her.
So, for now, that's my life. Mainly changing diapers, and cleaning up spills. And, when I can, I write. Now you're all caught up--I don't see much changing around here unless I finish my WIP or finally finish Verity....

I wanted to finish my book in September, but who knows if that will happen. I just passed 27k, so things are coming along, but there's still so much I need to do.
